A TESTIMONY ABOUT JESUS (87) Revelation 16:1 – 21

It is done, heaven announced!

“The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and out of the

temple came a loud voice  from the throne, saying, ‘It is done!” Revelation 16:17.

The phrase “It is done” means that all decisions about God and Jesus Christ have been finalized. No further decisions will be made. The people have settled their minds. God knew before He created the universe who among humankind would self-surrender to Jesus Christ and accept His salvation. God observes everything and knows it all. The events leading up to Jesus’s return answer the prayer of God’s people who were slain because of the word of God, as described at the opening of the fifth seal in Revelation 6:9–11. God’s response will be proportionate to the evil deeds committed by those on earth against God’s people. During this time, heaven will declare, “It is done.” All decisions for God and Jesus Christ will have been made. Then Jesus will return as King of kings. “Then they will see the Son of Man arriving in a cloud with power and great glory.” Luke 21:27. The fact that Jesus’s return will happen at the end of the seven last plagues confirms it will occur during the early phase of the seventh kingdom’s reign on earth.

While self-surrendered believers should avoid trying to predict the exact day and hour of Jesus’ return, they should follow Jesus’ advice. “When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:28. The seventh kingdom on earth is a unique alliance of the world’s sovereign countries and nations, never before seen. It is not a traditional alliance. Because the form of the seventh kingdom is different from any previous kingdom, people are not paying attention to its development. However, the seventh kingdom, currently forming, is not just a concept but a real, tangible reality. The return of the King of kings is closer than many realize. Now, all faithful believers should lift their heads toward heaven because our redemption is here.

John saw the Son of Man holding the sickle with which he harvested the earth (Revelation 14:16). This moment is so magnificent that everyone in heaven shouts, “Hallelujah!” (Revelation 19:1). For the righteous, by the faithfulness of Jesus Christ, the end of the last days is over; eternity with the Lord has begun. The Bridegroom, Jesus Christ, and his bride, the Church, will go on a honeymoon for a thousand years.
