A TESTIMONY ABOUT JESUS (85) Revelation 14:6 – 12

The Remnant proclaims the good news.

The World Trade Organization (WTO), which now acts as a global coordinating body, guides nations in building a synchronized global economy and encouraging closer integration among sovereign countries. This type of economy, known as the economy of scale, has the potential to generate wealth, leading people to believe they can rely solely on self-sufficiency for long-term survival and shared global destiny. The WTO advocates reliance on human wisdom and ingenuity to achieve a peaceful and prosperous global future. Based in Geneva, Switzerland, the WTO manages and directs international economic and commercial efforts. As people become more self-reliant, their dependence on God will decrease, leading to widespread misunderstandings of God’s true nature. Jesus Christ fully revealed God’s character to the world, but this revelation has often been ignored (John 17:6, 26). As a result, many will be confused about God and His plans for humankind. With this in mind, the third angel issues a warning.

“A third angel followed the first two, declaring in a loud voice: If anyone worships the beast and his image and takes the mark on their forehead or their hand, that person will also drink of the wine of God’s anger that has been mixed undiluted in the cup of his wrath, and he will be tortured with fire and sulfur in front of the holy angels and in front of the Lamb.” Revelation 14:9.

The nations of the world will willingly worship the beast, which represents the seventh kingdom on Earth, and will actively participate in the global system of self-reliance established by the image of the beast emerging from the sea. The reference to the image of the beast and its worship applies to nations and countries, not to individual people. Also, the mark of the beast applies to nations, not individual people. As a result, the One World system will require member nations to support and obey the Great City, Babylon, which functions as the administrative center of the image of the beast. Under the rules set by the Great City, the preaching of the gospel will decline, and religious leaders and their followers will begin to marginalize Christ. As prosperity increases, people will become more self-centered and less devoted to God (2 Timothy 3:2).

A mighty angel will cry out, “Come out of her, my people,” as written in Revelation 18:4. The righteous in Jesus Christ, who are cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, will separate themselves from confusion where they fellowship and come together to proclaim the good news, which is the eternal gospel—Jesus Christ. This group will not represent any specific church or denomination. They are the committed believers who have died to themselves so that Christ can live in them. As members of the kingdom, they are dedicated to sharing the good news of the kingdom of God, that is, Jesus Christ.
