A TESTIMONY ABOUT JESUS (84) Revelation 14:6 – 12

The Remnant will proclaim the gospel.

The good news, presented as the everlasting Gospel, is that God, through Jesus Christ, has defeated Satan and everything related to evil. Only those who have died to themselves will inherit eternal life through Jesus Christ, the everlasting Gospel. “He said in a loud voice, Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heaven, and the earth, the sea and the springs of water.” Revelation 14:7. John heard the angel’s declaration in the past tense, indicating it had already been fulfilled. The phrase “has come” refers to the judgment of sinful humankind, which was accomplished in the body of Jesus Christ on the cross at Golgotha.

Those who live on Earth, characterized by self-love and self-righteousness, will face judgment for unbelief after the millennium, as stated in Revelation 20:11–15. These individuals are called “dead” because their sinful human lives died forever in the body of Jesus Christ on the cross at Golgotha. However, they did not accept the perfect new human life of Jesus Christ. They did not accept it because they did not believe that it had become a reality. Those who have died to themselves so that Christ can live in them will not face additional judgment beyond the one on the cross at Golgotha, as explained in John 3:18.

The first angel urges people to “fear God” because He has fulfilled His plan for humankind. The Enemy, Satan, has failed in his attempt to disrupt God’s purpose for humankind. The three angels proclaim the everlasting Gospel, meaning it is complete, perfect, and all-encompassing. There is no need to add, remove, or alter it. IT IS DONE FOREVER! Jesus Christ is the Good News for all humankind; therefore, He is the Gospel that we must proclaim to those on earth. The Good News is not the doctrines or teachings of any particular church or denomination; these are created by men (Isaiah 29:13). The true Good News is that God has accomplished everything necessary for the salvation of humankind through Jesus Christ’s body on the cross at Golgotha. No one can add anything to it. IT IS COMPLETE and PERFECT.

A second angel followed and said, Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great, which made all nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries.” Revelation 14:8. The proclamation by the second and third angels refers to the punishment of the prostitute shown in Revelation 17:1-2. This is the city where the image of the beast out of the sea acts as the global coordinating authority. When the angel led John to the desert to show him the prostitute, the Great City, he saw a woman with a name on her forehead: Babylon the Great, the mother of prostitutes.

In Revelation 18:1–3, John describes an angel with great authority who proclaims, Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great. Indeed, all three references point to the same Babylon. Babylon symbolizes pride in one’s own efforts and ingenuity. In Revelation 17:18, the angel tells John that the woman, the prostitute, is the Great City that rules over the kings of the earth. The global coordinating authority, or one-world government, is the city that rules over the countries of the world. It is located in Geneva, Switzerland. The global coordinating authority will persuade countries and nations to join the global system, enabling them to achieve wealth and self-sufficiency. However, the Great City, the global coordinating authority, will face severe punishment described in Revelation chapter 18. The initial plan laid out by the architects of the shared global destiny includes this reality.
