The number 666. What is it?
“This calls for wisdom: Let the one who has insight calculate the beast’s number, for it is man’s number, and his number is 666.” Revelation 13:18.
Revelation chapter 13 describes a global system created and implemented by humans, without outside influence or guidance. The Bible states that God established an order of intelligence known as Man or Mankind. If “Man” represents Mankind in the Bible, then “man’s number” corresponds to the number of all humankind. This concept does not refer to a single individual but rather symbolizes the identity of the two-part beast mentioned in Revelation chapter 13.
Satan is no longer a prince of this world (John 12:31); therefore, he does not have the power to be actively or openly involved in establishing the global system that operates as the Biblical seventh human kingdom on Earth. Instead, he can only observe from a distance and rely on humanity to create this global system through their initiative. However, it is possible that he can exert influence from afar. In that case, his involvement would be indirect. The number 666 highlights that the global system associated with this number is consciously and deliberately constructed by human beings, rather than being formed by an external force. It indicates that the system represented by the number 666 is a purely independent endeavor made by humans on behalf of Satan.
The seventh kingdom, also known as the “One World,” is a human construct designed to help humanity secure its long-term survival in the universe. Humankind aims to become fully self-sufficient. The World Trade Organization (WTO) in Geneva, Switzerland, serves as a central authority responsible for promoting humanity’s goals. However, while this global initiative aligns with Biblical end-time events, it does not mean that God ordained it. The conflict pursued within the global order is not between individuals but rather between humanity and divine intention. God has a plan for humankind while humanity pursues its vision for the future. These two plans are in conflict. Thus, the “mark of the beast” represents the mindset of the seventh kingdom, encapsulated in the assertive declaration “I will,” which has its roots in Satan’s rebellion against God. The WTO marks the beginning of humanity’s quest to establish lasting prosperity on Earth, which would serve as a restored Garden of Eden. The WTO embodies humanity’s self-sufficiency, and as such, it symbolizes the characteristics associated with the number 666.
The “mark of the beast,” as described in Revelation 13:16-17, illustrates how the seventh kingdom operates. This mark appears on either the right hand or the forehead, but not on both. Some nations will function as both producers and consumers, so they will bear the mark on their right hand to identify them as such. In contrast, weaker and smaller countries that are solely consumers will have the mark on their foreheads to indicate their status. The production of goods and their acquisition must obey the same set of rules. However, all nations, regardless of their role, must be members and adhere to the regulations set forth by the WTO. Currently, membership in the WTO is voluntary; however, there is the potential for enforced membership if deemed necessary. Both groups of countries will be treated equitably, ensuring they have equal access to the global market and must follow the same regulations. The focus now shifts to the concept of the great city.
