Our benefit from the Cross of Christ.
We concluded that Jesus offered his sanctified body as the Mercy Seat for the removal of sin we committed in the Garden of Eden by having our sinful spirit, life, die the second death in his body. “So when he came into the world, he said, Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me.”: Hebrews 10:5, NET. Jesus did so willingly. “By his will we have been made holy through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:10, NET. Therefore, the mystery of God has been accomplished as promised. Humankind has been redeemed from the kingdom of sin and darkness and restored to God as his children.
The sinful human life died the second death in the body of Jesus with no possibility of resurrection. Some may wonder whether humankind had received the eternal life of Jesus Christ. The excellent assurance for the people is that the Savior, Jesus Christ, has risen. Therefore, the second death has no power over those who accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and the Lord. The yielded believers have eternal life in Jesus Christ. “Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. We know that since Christ has been raised from the dead, he is never going to die again; death no longer has mastery over him.” Romans 6:8,9, NET.
The Messiah, Jesus Christ, overthrew Satan as the prince of this world. “Now is the judgment of this world; now the ruler of this world will be driven out.” John 12:31, NET. Jesus defeated the prince of the earth and restored it to God’s Dominion. When the seventh trumpet sounded, John heard voices in heaven proclaiming that the world’s kingdom had become the kingdom of the Lord. “Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven saying: The kingdom of this world has become the kingdom of our Lord and his Christ, and he will reign for ever and ever.” Revelation 11:15, NET. Satan was not able to prevent the birth of the Messiah. However, the Messiah did come into the world. Accordingly, Satan put his plan B in motion. What was his plan? Read the next blog.
