Did Lucifer win a home?
Lucifer conquered what he hoped to be his home, but not by force because he needed the authority to employ force. The only option for legally possessing a domain was to convince its inhabitants to give it to him voluntarily. Accordingly, by applying a deceptive approach, Lucifer convinced the first humankind to hand over to him the earth as his principality. Unfortunately, the first human pair did so contrary to the reason God created them. God created the universe with the intent to, at the right time, place an order of intelligence called Man in it. Therefore, the Creator intended that humankind should be the administrator of God’s property and maintain it as a part of his infinite Dominion. “Then God said, Let us make humankind in our image, after our likeness, so they may rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move on the earth.” Genesis 1:26, NET. Therefore, Lucifer, Satan, had to convince humankind’s representative, Adam, to give him the earth as his home.
Humankind had full authority over the earth, according to the responsibility given by the Creator. Adam, the representative of humanity, had to make an intelligent decision and choice for reasons not disclosed to us. In conformity with the laws in this universe, the intelligence inhabiting a planet in it must make a deliberate choice. As the property administrator, it had to choose how to administer it. This is so because there are two probable histories in our universe. These histories conflict with one another.
The intelligent life in the universe had to make a deliberate decision and choice between the two conflicting histories. The two histories existed because of the existence of intelligence that was opposed to the Creator. Accordingly, the Creator tested humankind. “Then the Lord God commanded the man, You may freely eat fruit from every tree of the orchard, but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will surely die.” Genesis 2:16 – 17, NET. God educated the representative of humankind concerning the two histories, the two realities. One reality is God’s way, and it leads to eternity. The other reality is what Lucifer chose, and it leads to eternal destruction.
